So...April, I asked my mom about the wage for sure. She said she'd look today, but she's pretty sure it's about $9, maybe a little more. Also, she said if Ind. House doesn't want you to work after this schedule, you could let them know. They usually end up doing an extra orientation because often they hire a nurse & need one in between the scheduled ones. So...you could probably end up starting a little earlier. I do think the paralegal idea is a really good one (if I do say so myself :) ). There aren't that many classes involved in getting a post-bacc certificate & maybe you could actually get a job without moving to another state! Did you look anymore at the online ones? I did look around at them a little to compare them with Toledo (as far as how the program works, cost, etc.) Toledo is around $270 per hour. Some of the online program were more, some less. I guess it just depends on what kind of program you like. I will say, one good thing about the UT program is the internship thing (I imagine that would help people get a job more easily) & they're an ABA approved school (which I don't know if that means squat...other than they consider it a high quality education or whatever). BG does offer a certificate through their professional & community ed program (I think the paralegal studies is actually through some online ed thing, but somehow affiliated with BG). This one looks like a pretty good program if you wanted one of the totally online ones. They say it's 225 hours (apparently that's the estimated actual number of hours to complete the course, which they give you up to 6 mos. to do). Here's their website...

Anyhow, hopefully you'll find a school/program you like & it would work out :)
I don't have any news peeps (I pretty much never do).
Off to my haircut...
