Well, folks,
I decided to stop posting since I posted sometime forever ago and no one responded, so I figured the blog was done for. I got an email from Katie saying everyone wanted to know what I was up to. For those of you who don't know, I have a couple email addresses in which you could reach me: jlordemann@hotmail.com, babyface435_33@yahoo.com OR I have a working phone, which is (402) 649-3010, just FYI. Yes, I'm taking pot-shots at ya'll. :)
I have actually been busy this summer. A couple of things have happened. Our desktop computer crashed completely, so we decided to get a Dell laptop. We quite enjoy it - and so does Emma. Her fingerprints are all over it! Thank goodness for glass cleaner.
I have been hurling a lot this summer- and not due to anything pregnancy - like. I spent one Friday morning in the ER because I had been puking every hour or 2 pretty much all night and into the morning, and I KNEW something was wrong. The stupid ER doc. tried to tell me it was just my uterus pushing up into my stomach, causing me to hurl?? DON'T THINK SO! Well, they fixed me up and made me feel better after they left me for an hour b/c they had a code blue and decided that the dead guy was more important than me. That's OK, they were so bored that night they gave me a free ultrasound:) Guess what- we don't know the sex yet:) They didn't really know how to operate the ultrasound, but that's OK, this one is quite the mover! But, 2 days later, Eric was puking every hour too - don't suppose he is pregnant too, do you?
Emma had a great 1st birthday! She had fun, or so it would seem from the pictures! I posted a collage type thing on MySpace. I think it's pretty cool. I also posted pictures from our Disney Cruise. I don't know if anyone knew that we were going on that, but it was a ton of fun. So much better than paying bills :)
I'm still working on classes for my Master's in Reading K-12. The classes aren't too bad, overall. They should be done by June 30.
Went boating last Saturday, didn't do anything on Father's Day. I went tubing too, which you probably shouldn't do when pregnant.
April - My suggestion for the job situation would be to think about what you really want to do. If you want to teach, then maybe expand your range of looking. If you are just looking in Ohio, you probably are limiting yourself a bit. I have to say, that I am STILL looking, because while I have a job, as we talked about- it's not what I really want to do, but it's a stepping stone. I'm thinking about applying for jobs in SD. I took the Praxis II and the PLT, so I can keep my options open if I decide to move to another state at all. So, if we move closer to Ohio, I could work there if I wanted. I have to admit that I have been thinking about you and school jobs b/c there was a few openings around here. I'm not saying anything about moving, but I think you should really consider having an open mind about this, if it is what you want to do. We could always think things through together some time. If anything, it might make you feel better?
Liz-I hope you get your teeth problems all fixed! I have to have some wisdom teeth pulled sometime, but I'm not looking forward to that at all!
Katie - hope you enjoyed your visitors - I don't know much about what is going on over there because no one has told me. I actually have pretty much no idea what you guys did while Liz & April were there, or what you have been doing as you seem to have forgotten me....'sniff sniff'.
Ok, well, I'll catch ya on the flip side!
Jenna
