The results are in! It's a .........

That's right! All of you who placed your bets on blue just doubled your money! :-) This baby is definitely not afraid to show his stuff. We saw his little penis right away. Eric was of course, thrilled and I was delighted as well. It's actually quite a feeling to "know" rather than "not know" and have all of this doubt! I am so excited for Riley Patrick to be entering our lives soon. (not the sleepless nights though) I could do without that part.

Anyway, I am very excited and Emma is still the "Princess" of the families. Riley Patrick (wow, that doesn't sound TOTALLY Irish, does it?:) will be just as special though, right? :) Alicia was very excited as well, she came to the ultrasound with us. She really wanted another niece and wasn't happy at the beginning, but I think she will adjust. My Dad is very excited as well...he now has one of each sex of grandchild. He is also doing well he said.

I started another Target registry as well. I will look for some boy things to put on there! As soon as I get the pictures scanned, I will show you the pictures and the 3-D pictures of our new little one as well.

Well, that's all I have right now! TTFN!

Yay!

Thank you, thank you :) I'm very excited about that!

Liz- Sorry to hear you won't be able to join us for the big game! Oh well - we kind of figured that no one would be able to make it, but it doesn't hurt to ask! Liz- I also want you to be the Godmother of our next baby. Not sure who we're picking for the Godfather yet, but we definitely decided you should be the Godmother!! (duh! like it was a hard decision.)

KT-who is is QT? Someone from school? Anyway - moving- ain't it fun? :) I think you should just sell the car. A car is a car, you can get another one sometime if you want. Even though you like it, you could use the money in other ways, otherwise the car may just sit there and collect dust when it could be collecting you some money! That's what I think! If you don't need it-sell it!

April & Liz- I really appreciate the card. It's very sweet to have something like that show up just when you think things are too complicated in your life!

I've been doing a lot of garage sailing. It's fun for me during the week sometimes and you can get some really great deals if you look hard enough! I've finished up Emma's scrapbook and I got a whole bunch of stickers for the next one! Hopefully we will be able to find out what this baby is and I can get started on the next book! I did decide to start a new gift registry at Target for the baby, but we don't need a whole lot more this time around, but there are a few things I would like to have. But what Jenna REALLY wants is a set of Pampered Chef Easy Read measuring cups. They will come in handy when I need to heat up bottles (because of their shape, the measuring cups heat up the bottles better than setting them in a cup and the bottles can lay on their side). Anyway, just a little hint there. LOL

5 more days until we know! (I hope). Anticipation is killing me!

Hey Ladies!

Hi peeps! What's everybody up to? Congrats on passing your praxis, Jenna! That should give you a lot of options depending on what you guys want to do :) Only 5 more days...can't wait, just like you! (gotta get this one lots of cute clothes, too...LOL!). I got your email about the tickets...unfortunately, I don't think I can go :( That's the same week my mom & I are on vacation and we won't be back until the day before or that day...

Are you guys busy moving yet, KT? Send us pics/new address when you get settled.

April...they've got movie times up for next week. Not sure what you wanted to see. We could do Chuck & Larry if you saw hairspray with your cousin. (C&L is at 5:50 or 7 on thursday, and hairspray is 5:45/7:10). Let me know :)

Nothing new to report for me. I saw my orthodontist on Wed. morning...still know nothing... Apparently my oral surgeon tried to call him & his office was on vacation and then my ortho tried to call the oral surgeon & he's on vacation. So, they still haven't talked since I had my consult with the oral surgeon. More waiting to find out...sucks since I've been trying to get going with this since March. Anyhow, I'm just busy working & reading harry potter :)

Hi from the 'Ham

Jenna's right, we all say not much is going on, mean while we're busy as hell :) In that case, there is REALLY nothing going on with me right now. Translation: work is way too damn busy & I can't wait to move to the new place. Getting up early as crap and commuting 1.5 hrs to work each way is not for the KT. I'm so goofed up this month that I forgot to read the blog all month 'til now! My apologies, I knew I was going crazy in more way than one.

Just to be difficult I'll say that Jenna is having another girl :) Probably, best bet is whether you've felt different this time while you were pregos.... I'm pretty sure you'll have a boy too though, Cleo told me! I know what you won't be having, 14 paternity tests on Montel, hehe!

Liz, good luck with the extractions, Scott is having his out soon too. I hope they can do what you want with the palate stuff, just think though if you ever fall on your head you'll be glad to have that thick skull :)

I had a pretty fun girl's night last weekend, I spent a whole week of Scott & KT fun budget in one night! He's been teasing me about that all week. I had a raspberry mojito (Raspberry Lime Ricky, very good), a mudslide, and a drink called Hypnosis that has April written all over it (some yummy Hypnotic drink in a martini glass). Scott & I went to Joe's (restaurant) Thurs night, that's like my fav place in the Ham I think... they have yummy crab cakes!

We didn't do any fireworks on the 4th b/c there was rain coming and going, so we went to see 'License to Wed' which was 99% cheesy. Anybody else see that? I want to see the new Adam Sandler movie '... Chuck & Larry', that looks funny.

As far as moving shit goes Scott has a couple boxes packed. All my stuff is still in the boxes for the most part, but I 'spose I gotta help him too. We got a moving co that's going to cost a small fortune, but at least we get to sit back and watch!

In other complaining...I haven't gotten hardly any mail all month, it's totally screwed up. I'm not allowed to put my name on the box here b/c I'm not on the lease, and so the regular mail lady has been returning all my mail to sender! I wasn't aware of this b/c the backup mail carrier has delivered a few things for me, including the change of address notification & a couple of bills, talk about mixed messages! Needless to say I haven't gotten my security deposit or my expensive train pass, both of which have left me a bit grouchy. Hopefully I didn't miss out on anything else too important. I have a hold on my mail now, so I need to go to the post office this morning and see if they have anything for me, woo hoo! Currently I'm having people send important things like Emma's pix & my security deposit to work, but I think the mail is SLOOOOW there b/c I haven't seen much of anything all month... although these things are coming from across the country, I need to be patient. Turns out my officemate has a PO box for all of these reasons, I should have done something like that I guess, live and learn! My Moral: renting sux!

I've also been considering selling my car lately, any thoughts on that? I don't really use it here, and we'll have tandem parking at the new place. So if I keep it, I'll get the garage, so it will be well protected... but Scott will have to park behind me & scrape and shit every day when he could be parking in the garage. The biggest reasons I have for keeping it are: it's almost paid off, for driving home by myself, for driving places when he would be at work (rare), having a backup car (he can't even drive stick, but he could learn). It's blue booked around 10k, but Scott says no one ever gets blue book. Also being a stick, it might be a real pain in the ass to sell. I like my car a lot actually, but I just don't use it much. I could afford to fly home a lot more if I sold it. Of course there's that issue of my family not being able to pick me up from the airports, which is main the reason why I have drove home twice and only flew once.

Despite all the headaches, QT & I are happy to be living together, but I don't think we'll get the full effect until after we move. I'm pretty glad we're moving into a new place so we can properly integrate, watch the space battles begin!

I guess this is the summer of change for me!
Take care ladies:)

Geez Liz!

Ouch! It sounds like there's quite an issue going on there!

I think that when doctors are stumped about something, they always say something about "being the worst they'd ever seen". It sounds scary, but who knows!

April & Liz- thank you very much for Emma's birthday presents! I thought it was very nice, and of course you can tell from her year pictures that she is absolutely adorable! :-) I appreciate all of your kindness. P.S. I hung up the card in Emma's new room and we measured her at her 1st birthday and we'll keep going :) I always thught those were neat.

Katie- I need your address to send you some pictures!

countdown!!

Even though it seems like we're all not "really doing anything" we're actually doing quite a lot!

I took those tests for the Praxis 2 and I passed!!! Woohoo! That will open up more opportunities for me to move elsewhere if I choose. Teaching is a weird field. Not sure any other jobs are quite like it!

I have 10 days to go before we find out about our new baby. I have to say that earlier I didn't really have any "signs" about this one (with Emma I always had a small incling that it could have been a girl, plus I got a little outfit for her at a garage sale before she was born) but this time I keep having dreams about a Riley! We'll see......

Can't wait to find out!

I'm hoping it's a boy, Jenna! (little girls are cute, but I have this thing for little guys :)...plus I keep seeing all these cute little boys clothes I'm dying to buy!)

Anyhow, nothing all that newsy from me...work as usual. I did see my oral surgeon last week...still don't know what's going on for sure...since now he's sending me back to my orthodontist to talk to him. They just keep flopping me back and forth...LOL! Anyhow, I definitely have to have all those wisdom teeth out, since they're all 5's and 6's (they grade impacted teeth...1 to 6, 6 being the worst) & the baby tooth out. After that, I have to decide with the ortho exactly what we're doing. If I decide to do the whole ball of wax (based on what I want for an outcome/what my ortho can do without surgery, etc), then they have to work on getting approval for the surgery(ies) from my insurance company (pain in ass!). Also, he needs me to get some other kind of scan (I think probably a CT scan) of my skull because I have like the thickest upper jaw bone he's ever seen (based on my x-ray) in the 4-5,000 surgeries he's done for this. He has to decide if he's even willing to risk trying to separate my palate for my upper jaw expansion. So....I'm nowhere yet....seeing my ortho again next Wednesday...

It's baby time!!!

OOOOh I can't wait to see if you find out what the baby is. I'll put in a bet that its a boy!!!!

So I have my orientation at St Catherine's tomorrow.....no more Independence House. yea!!!!! I'll get back with you guys after I start to let you know how the new job goes.

April

Next doctor appt.

Just an update...the next dr. appt. will be July 26, in which we can hopefully find out the sex of our new little one! I will give you all updates then. Any wagers on what it is?

This year's contender for gayest pic :) JK Scott (he occasionally lurks on our blog). Just making sure April has lots of quality material for the slide show when the time comes! Caution, lot's of unnecessary "..." ahead:

2 more days 'til I'm in the Ham!

Hi ladies,

I have to say, I'm really glad the blog has caught a second wind! I know we all run out of things to say off and on, but it's good that we can bring it back :) Like 'porch monkies' in Clerks II. Speaking of that movie, it reminds me of the 1st one, which reminds me of Crystal... anyone seen her lately?

April... if you decide to go to UT you should get a hold of Aaron's mom, she might have some advice. Maybe you could work for her! LOL. My mom said you should like your new job better, it wasn't so long ago that she was hangin' with the activities crew at st catherines. Bud Droll back in the indy house again? nuts, poor guy! My dad hasn't called me actually since I talked with him on his birthday. His bday (grandpa) is middle of July, he'll be 93!

Jenna... hope your feeling well and holding down your cookies! I talked to my cousin Amber the other night, she's havin a girl this time and says she's been sick a lot more than with Josh. She also insists that being 3 yrs older is making it much more tiring... so keep poppin 'em out early!
If you're making jabs at me b/c you want me to call more or something, I'm not going to catch on via guilt trip... my parents have been doing that for years. Just the same as I can't stay awake anymore for my dad's old stories about almost drowning in the boat, I just sorta block that stuff out :) It's a coping mechanism I believe.... else I would be on a cocktail of crazy pills by now.

I do hope to see you one of these days! You & Eric should come visit soon. I imagine I will be out to see you in the next year, but probably not at thanksgiving. I ditched Scott last year for both holidays, and promised not to this year. Also, I would really rather visit sans all the NE family gatherings in Elgen (sp?). It always feels like we spend more time with the extended family than with you. No offense to them, but I come there to visit you & Eric + kiddies. However, I totally think you're on the right page to do the baptism sooner than later, that's not really something that should wait a long time.

Liz... we tried to ride the swan boats last weekend after the BBQ beach party, but they close hella early! Rats. Keep the good career ideas coming :) I've changed my mind about the Coach purse, I'm glad I didn't impulse buy... I don't really like it anymore, it's got too much goin on (just looked at it again today). I'm gonna do some serious shopping though while I'm living in the ham.

I should have totally put in my damn a/c, it's like 90 degrees in here! Can't wait 'till the moving madness is over! Send some cool my way :)

No more Independence House...yeaaahhhhh!

So...April, I asked my mom about the wage for sure. She said she'd look today, but she's pretty sure it's about $9, maybe a little more. Also, she said if Ind. House doesn't want you to work after this schedule, you could let them know. They usually end up doing an extra orientation because often they hire a nurse & need one in between the scheduled ones. So...you could probably end up starting a little earlier. I do think the paralegal idea is a really good one (if I do say so myself :) ). There aren't that many classes involved in getting a post-bacc certificate & maybe you could actually get a job without moving to another state! Did you look anymore at the online ones? I did look around at them a little to compare them with Toledo (as far as how the program works, cost, etc.) Toledo is around $270 per hour. Some of the online program were more, some less. I guess it just depends on what kind of program you like. I will say, one good thing about the UT program is the internship thing (I imagine that would help people get a job more easily) & they're an ABA approved school (which I don't know if that means squat...other than they consider it a high quality education or whatever). BG does offer a certificate through their professional & community ed program (I think the paralegal studies is actually through some online ed thing, but somehow affiliated with BG). This one looks like a pretty good program if you wanted one of the totally online ones. They say it's 225 hours (apparently that's the estimated actual number of hours to complete the course, which they give you up to 6 mos. to do). Here's their website...

http://pace.bgsu.edu/container.php?x=gatlinbusiness

Anyhow, hopefully you'll find a school/program you like & it would work out :)

I don't have any news peeps (I pretty much never do).

Off to my haircut...

April is an Activities Assistant

Hello all! well I am going to be an activities assistant at St Catherine's....I got the job. Ill be working 830-5 and 1 night 930-7. So thats what Ill be doing in the near future. Orientation is on July 10th.

Liz I really like the idea about being a paralegal.....it still has to do with the social studies and government stuff that I like and maybe I would be able to find a job around here.

Keep the ideas coming LOL I like this game.

Another sunny day....

Yeah I knew you weren't a phone talker, Liz:) That's not what I was getting at anyway. So anyway, April, to answer your question, no I will not be finished with my Master's quite yet, I'm just taking a couple more classes this summer. I think I might be finished next year sometime. I'm only taking 2 classes at a time and working on a SPED endorsement, so I'm taking it easy. It might take me a while, but I'll get there.

I will post some cruise pics on here too, for anyone who doesn't go to MySpace very often. I don't think there's much else going on right now. Gotta keep Emma from pulling things over.

Oh....her current status is 18 lbs, 12 oz, 28 " long, enjoys crawling, crying and throwing fits. Most engaged in a gold ball with a string at this time. She got her 1 year checkup yesterday and 4 more shots and a finger poke for anemia. She's back to normal today so far. I had a dream last night that she said like 4 words to me in a sentence. She says mama and dada and a few other things.

April- I have a feeling she will be just like you when it comes to shopping- A Coach bag it is! LOL (and that's OK with me) :) She deserves it.

Oh, another idea, April!

(Like you need more...LOL!) But this is actually a pretty good idea (at least I think so...). Have you ever considered paralegal? It's a pretty good career field. It's one of the fastest growing actually...companies are hiring them instead of lawyers to reduce costs, etc & salaries are like $40-50,000ish (depending on where you work, etc). You had been interested in law at one time...it wouldn't be as long a path as lawyer. Since you already have a bachelor's degree, you could do a certificate program (I think UT has one that's like 2 semesters or something). My mom has considered becoming a legal nurse consultant, so she'd thought of getting a paralegal certificate. Anyhow, more career sh*t to think about :)

Liz

'Lo Jenna!

Hey, Jenna! Yeah, I know I could call (not much of a phone talker...) or email, too :) Anyhow, glad Emma had a fab 1st B-day & that you guys had a good time on the cruise...I didn't even know you were going! My mom & I had talked about going with her sister's family several years ago, but never did. Anyhow, hope you're feeling ok now!

April...I'll be seeing you tomorrow, but hope your interview goes well...I'm sure it will. My mom said Chrissy really wants to hire you...so as long as you don't come to the interview as a total slob/dumbass (LOL), I think you'll be cool.

Nothing newsy with me. Work, shower, sleep, eat...that's pretty much it...LOL (and teeth stuff).

all here and accounted for!

Yeah good times were had in Boston.....I'll post some pics. Yea for finding a place in Newton! Work sounds boring LOL. Yeah I know my life blows...cant find a job that I want. I've been thinking alot about what I should do with my life and maybe teaching isnt it. I mean I've looked in other states, I went to a job fair in North Carolina and nothing came from that and I've looked in Michigan and they are in the same boat as Ohio NO JOBS....not really willing to move anywhere else for a teaching job. I not really sure that is even what I want to do anymore....I just went on the interviews because the BGSU thing fell through. I do have an "interview" at St Catherine's for activities assistant on Thursday........Im thinking that is my best option right now and then I'm thinking I want to reapply to the program at BG because I got a letter today saying all I have to do is let the graduate college know if I want to be considered for next summer's admissions. And if that doesnt work I think I might think about starting back at school to get a physical therapy degree. HAHA I like the idea of the list of possible jobs...you guys forgot

*food critic
*novelist
*event planning not just weddings

Anyway LOL

Alright Liz....I'll prolly come over say between 430 and 5 See ya then!!!

Jenna miss ya!!!! I've been meaning to call ya....I'm going to LOL But you could always call me too you know. That sucks that you guys were sick and I'm thinking that Eric is NOT pregnant LOL. I got a new Dell laptop too...I am also enjoying mine. My old computer was just overheating and shutting off whenever it felt like. I am glad to hear that Emma had a great 1st bday.....she will always be the sexiest baby on the block.........can I hear baby Coach bag LOL...glad the cruise was fun. I didnt even know you went on that already, I wasnt sure when that was happening but anyway cant wait to see pics....Im gonna go to myspace after posting to see them :) So after June 30 you will have your masters or just the classes are done? Tubing maybe not a good idea.

well thats it for now....I will post after Thursday's interview at St Catherine's to let you know what happens.

Later
April

Happy June!

Well, folks,

I decided to stop posting since I posted sometime forever ago and no one responded, so I figured the blog was done for. I got an email from Katie saying everyone wanted to know what I was up to. For those of you who don't know, I have a couple email addresses in which you could reach me: jlordemann@hotmail.com, babyface435_33@yahoo.com OR I have a working phone, which is (402) 649-3010, just FYI. Yes, I'm taking pot-shots at ya'll. :)

I have actually been busy this summer. A couple of things have happened. Our desktop computer crashed completely, so we decided to get a Dell laptop. We quite enjoy it - and so does Emma. Her fingerprints are all over it! Thank goodness for glass cleaner.

I have been hurling a lot this summer- and not due to anything pregnancy - like. I spent one Friday morning in the ER because I had been puking every hour or 2 pretty much all night and into the morning, and I KNEW something was wrong. The stupid ER doc. tried to tell me it was just my uterus pushing up into my stomach, causing me to hurl?? DON'T THINK SO! Well, they fixed me up and made me feel better after they left me for an hour b/c they had a code blue and decided that the dead guy was more important than me. That's OK, they were so bored that night they gave me a free ultrasound:) Guess what- we don't know the sex yet:) They didn't really know how to operate the ultrasound, but that's OK, this one is quite the mover! But, 2 days later, Eric was puking every hour too - don't suppose he is pregnant too, do you?

Emma had a great 1st birthday! She had fun, or so it would seem from the pictures! I posted a collage type thing on MySpace. I think it's pretty cool. I also posted pictures from our Disney Cruise. I don't know if anyone knew that we were going on that, but it was a ton of fun. So much better than paying bills :)

I'm still working on classes for my Master's in Reading K-12. The classes aren't too bad, overall. They should be done by June 30.

Went boating last Saturday, didn't do anything on Father's Day. I went tubing too, which you probably shouldn't do when pregnant.

April - My suggestion for the job situation would be to think about what you really want to do. If you want to teach, then maybe expand your range of looking. If you are just looking in Ohio, you probably are limiting yourself a bit. I have to say, that I am STILL looking, because while I have a job, as we talked about- it's not what I really want to do, but it's a stepping stone. I'm thinking about applying for jobs in SD. I took the Praxis II and the PLT, so I can keep my options open if I decide to move to another state at all. So, if we move closer to Ohio, I could work there if I wanted. I have to admit that I have been thinking about you and school jobs b/c there was a few openings around here. I'm not saying anything about moving, but I think you should really consider having an open mind about this, if it is what you want to do. We could always think things through together some time. If anything, it might make you feel better?

Liz-I hope you get your teeth problems all fixed! I have to have some wisdom teeth pulled sometime, but I'm not looking forward to that at all!

Katie - hope you enjoyed your visitors - I don't know much about what is going on over there because no one has told me. I actually have pretty much no idea what you guys did while Liz & April were there, or what you have been doing as you seem to have forgotten me....'sniff sniff'.

Ok, well, I'll catch ya on the flip side!

Jenna

Yeaaaa...another poster :)

That's great you found a place you like, KT! Can't wait to see pics:)

So...the list of options for you, April (instead of welfare momma...I like that...LOL!)...here are my opinions on KT's list...

1. Wedding planner - I know you'd love that...but how do you get started doing that, esp. around here?!?
2. Marry some rich guy - who doesn't love that idea! (but where to find one...)
3. Peace corp - hmmm...I think this could be cool (I considered it for a little while)...but I know I wouldn't probably have the guts do that, how 'bout you??
4. Rock star - yeah, try out for Idol...LOL!
5. Go to law school like you wanted to way back in the day... you did win a lawsuit after all :) - this if my favorite!...we could do that together & you could probably find that rich guy to marry! (2 birds with one stone :) )
6. teach english in another country.. eh, that would probably suck - basically the same as the peace corps
7. Marry the rich guy :) - like I said, law school baby!

my only idea...8. be an activities assistant (for now)...LOL! I don't have any ideas :)

Anyhow, hope your move goes well, KT. Jenna you need to post!

April, my mom said she'd be ready to go about 5:30ish on Wed, but you can come over anytime (I'll probably nap until about 4).

Liz
